![Interactive Guide to Olympic Torches since 1936
As the torch for the 2012 games in London was revealed today, the BBC has put out an awesome interactive guide providing some of the torch’s history. It shows and describes all of the Olympic torches throughout the years, including the three-ringed adorned one of Winter 1976 and the little league softball bat-like edition of Summer 2008, along with stories of the designers and interesting facts about the torch’s travels [i.e. routes being diverted around floods in Australia, and relays being carried out partially on roller skates (1956)].](http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmh9bcenmE1qz5h5go1_400.jpg)
